AI People uses a neural-network person segmentation model for portraits and full-body photos. Plain Color removes white or uniform backgrounds and is better for signatures, logos, scanned marks and product photos shot against a single color.

AI mode is optimized for people. For products on white or uniform backgrounds, use Plain Color mode.
Why is the first AI run slower?
The browser must download and initialize the segmentation model once. Later runs can use cached model files.
Are images uploaded?
No. Both removal modes process image pixels in your browser.
